OpenStack Fundamentals

OpenStack is not a single program but rather a platform encompassing a growing number of tightly-coupled components that enable hardware pools of storage, processing and networking to be managed via a GUI or the command line. OpenStack allows virtual machines, storage pools, networks and routers to be created in arbitrarily complicated arrangements without having any knowledge of the underlying hardware.

An understanding of the basic concepts employed throughout OpenStack is required in order to begin using it effectively. These pages will cover the ideas and terminology that you will encounter in the Horizons dashboard provided with every Memset OpenStack deployment.
