SFTP access with WinSCP

WinSCP is a free open source SFTP client, SCP client, FTPS client and FTP client for Windows. Its main function is file transfer between a local and a remote computer, with some basic file management functionality.

WinSCP is compatible with Memstore™ SFTP interface, but you may want to disable the "Preserve timestamp" option in WinSCP as that functionality is not supported by object storage.

  1. Go to WinSCP menu and open "Options > Preferences".
  2. When the "Preferences" dialog window appears, select "Transfer" in the options on the left pane.
  3. In the "Common options" group, uncheck the "Preserve timestamp" option.

Container Users

When using a container user, you won't see any folders representing containers in the root folder of your storage. This is because you are using a limited Memstore™ user that can only access certain resources.

You can change the remote directory to the container name you want to access to in WinSCP browser interface.

Alternatively you can set the remote directory in WinSCP Login dialog using the "Remote directory" input box. Please check WinSCP documentation for further details.
