Memset provides the facility to manage payment methods, remove cards, and set the default payment method via the Control Panel.
The Payment Methods page allows the selection of the default payment method by clicking “Set as default” against any existing payment method.
Per the Second Payment Services Directive (PSD2), credit or debit cards must first be used to make a successful payment before they are added to the account. After this, they will be displayed in the Payment Methods page and can be set as the default payment method if required.
Cards can also be removed from the account by clicking on the red "Delete"button (shown below). However, if a card is set as the default payment method it cannot be removed until a different payment method is selected.
When a card is set as the default payment method it will look like this:
However, once an alternative payment method or a different card is selected, the view will change as follows:
The card can then be deleted or set as the new default payment method.
In order for a new credit or debit card to be added to an account, it must first be used to pay an invoice. This can either be at the point of purchasing a new service, or for a renewal invoice.
When purchasing a new service, select 'new debit/credit card' from the payment options and complete the checkout process by entering your card details when prompted. Once the transaction has been completed successfully, the card will appear in the Payment Methods section of your account and can be designated as the default payment method.
In order to pay for a renewal or other type of invoice using a new card, go to the Order History and Status page on your account and select 'Debit/credit card' from the drop-down menu. Then, click the 'Pay now' button and enter your card details:
Memset will use the Billing Contact details for invoices. Please refer to the Support, Contacts and Users section of the documentation for more information on Memset account contacts.
Once an invoice has already been created, the details cannot be amended. However, it may be possible to issue a new invoice by contacting customercare@memset.com
The security code on a credit or debit card is the string of numbers located in the signature strip on the back of the card and is used to enhance fraud protection. The security code is alternatively referred to as the Signature or 'sig' digits or the CCV/CVC code. Memset only requires the last three digits when entering new credit or debit card details.
