British IT Hosting company, Memset, walked away with two highly commended awards at the UK IT Industry Awards 2014, which took place on Wednesday night in London and was attended by over 1,300 representatives from across the UK computer industry.

The company scooped Highly Commended awards for Small Supplier of the Year and Infrastructure Innovation of the Year for their cloud storage solution, Memstore.

Memset were delighted to be recognised again within the Small Supplier of the Year category, having previously won this category in 2011 and been highly commended in 2012. 

Kate Craig-Wood, MD of Memset, said: “We were delighted to walk away with both these coveted titles, especially receiving recognition for our innovative home-grown technologies and also our efforts in helping transform UK public sector ICT spend via the G-Cloud programme. To be the UK's second best Small IT Supplier for 2014 isn't too shabby!”

The UK IT Industry Awards, which are run by Computing and the British Computing Society (BCS) are well respected in the computing world and are renowned for honouring the most beneficial and impressive work achieved by those in the technology sector.  The awards focus on the contribution of individuals, projects, organisations and technologies that have excelled in the use, development and deployment of IT in the past 12 months.
